【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 보은군은 생활인구 확대를 위해 추진 중인 ‘정이품보은군민제도’가 시행 10개월 만에 가입자 1만 2,000명을 돌파했다고 11일 밝혔다.

정이품보은군민제도는 올해 1월 10일 황인학 재경보은군민회장을 제1호 회원으로 선정하며 본격 운영에 들어갔으며, 약 10개월 만에 가입자 1만 2,000명을 넘어섰다. 이는 보은군 전체 인구(3만 200여 명)의 약 3분의 1에 해당하는 규모로, 올해 목표였던 1만 명을 조기에 초과 달성한 수치다.

정이품보은군민제도는 인구감소와 지방소멸 위기에 대응해 생활 방문객을 보은의 ‘확장된 군민’으로 포섭하고, 지역 경제 활력 제고 및 장기적인 전입 기반을 마련하기 위해 도입한 사업이다.

정이품보은군민증을 발급받은 회원은 속리산테마파크, 꼬부랑길카페, 성별식당 등 주요 관광지·체험시설과 지역 내 가맹 음식점·카페 현재 35개소의 정이품보은 가맹점에 정이품보은군민증을 제시하면 5~10%의 할인 및 음료 등 다양한 혜택을 제공 받을 수 있다.
