【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군장애인복지관이 2025년 충청북도사회복지공동모금회 지원사업 ‘다름과 이음’의 일환으로 개최한 남부3군 인권영화제가 12일을 끝으로 성황리에 마무리됐다.

영화제는 9월 2일 영동군 인권영화제를 시작으로 10월 31일 옥천군 인권문화제, 11월 12일 보은군 인권영화제를 끝으로 성황리에 막을 내렸다.

이번 영화제는 ‘다름을 이해하고 마음을 잇는 영화제’라는 주제로 충청북도 남부 3군(옥천군·영동군·보은군)에서 순차적으로 진행되었으며, 총 250여 명의 지역주민이 함께했다.

특히 지역주민으로 구성된 영화제 서포터즈 10명이 행사 준비와 운영 전반에 참여해 의미를 더했다. 서포터즈들은 영화제 기획, 영화 선정, 홍보, 현장 안내, 캠페인 부스 운영 등 다양한 역할을 맡아 지역사회가 함께 만드는 인권영화제로 자리매김하도록 힘썼다.

한편 옥천 인권문화제 현장에서는 영화 관람 외에도 다양한 체험형 캠페인 부스가 마련되어 주민들의 참여를 이끌어냈다. 주요 프로그램으로는 △충청북도 도민소통과의 문화예술공연(마술) △국가인권위원회의 인권 캠페인 △옥천군정신건강복지센터의 생명존중 캠페인 △옥천군장애인복지관의 장애인식개선 캠페인 △함께노리봉사단의 전통놀이 체험 등이 진행되었다.

영화제에 참여한 주민들은 “영화를 통해 인권과 장애에 대한 메시지가 감동적으로 전달되었다”, “장애를 가진 사람으로서 타인의 어려움을 충분히 이해하지 못했던 점을 돌아보는 시간이 되었다”, “장애인의 현실적 삶을 다룬 영화제를 통해 새로운 인식을 가지게 되었다” 등 다양한 소감을 전했다.

이번 영화제는 옥천군장애인복지관을 중심으로 영동군장애인복지관, 보은군노인장애인복지관 등 여러 기관이 함께 참여하여 각 지역 주민들을 대상으로 활발한 홍보와 교류를 이어갔다.

황명구 옥천군장애인복지관 관장은 “남부 3군 인권영화제를 통해 지역사회가 장애와 인권을 함께 생각하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다”며 “앞으로도 장애인과 비장애인이 서로의 다름을 이해하고 존중하는 문화가 확산될 수 있도록 다양한 프로그램을 계속 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

The Southern 3-County Human Rights Film Festival, hosted by the Okcheon County Welfare Center for Persons with Disabilities as part of the 2025 Chungcheongbuk-do Community Chest of Korea's "Difference and Connection" support project, successfully concluded on the 12th.

The film festival began with the Yeongdong County Human Rights Film Festival on September 2nd, followed by the Okcheon County Human Rights Culture Festival on October 31st and the Boeun County Human Rights Film Festival on November 12th.

Residents who participated in the film festival shared diverse experiences, including, "The film delivered a moving message about human rights and disability," "As a person with a disability, it allowed me to reflect on my lack of understanding of the struggles of others," and "The film festival, which explores the realities of the lives of people with disabilities, gave me a new perspective."

This film festival, centered around the Okcheon County Welfare Center for Persons with Disabilities, was actively promoted and exchanged with local residents, with various organizations participating, including the Yeongdong County Welfare Center for Persons with Disabilities and the Boeun County Senior Welfare Center.
