【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북대학교 전자정보대학이 11월 13일 개신문화관에서 ‘2025학년도 전자정보대학 캡스톤디자인 졸업작품전 및 경진대회’를 성황리에 개최했다.

이번 행사는 학생들이 한 학기 동안 전공 지식을 바탕으로 기획·설계·제작한 창의적 종합설계(Capstone Design) 결과물을 발표·전시하는 자리로, 실무형 창의인재 양성의 장이 됐다.

올해 졸업작품전에는 전기공학부, 전자공학과, 정보통신공학부, 컴퓨터공학과, 소프트웨어학부, 지능로봇공학과, 반도체공학부 7개 학부(과)에서 209팀, 461명의 학생이 참가했다. 

주요 출품작으로는 △RC카/App 기반 AI 스마트 반려로봇(Como)△ 딥러닝 기반 실시간 보행자 보호 음향인식 시스템△UWB 기반 군집드론을 활용한 위치 탐지 시스템 △AI 기반 통화 훈련 시스템 등이 소개됐다.

특히 AI, 로봇, 반도체 등 첨단 기술을 융합한 프로젝트가 다수 전시되며 실무 중심 교육성과와 산업 변화에 대응한 교육 혁신이 돋보였다는 평가를 받았다.

행사장에는 반도체특성화대학사업단과 산업인공지능연구센터 홍보 부스가 함께 운영돼 연구성과와 산학협력 활동이 소개됐으며, 대학원 연구실 홍보 포스터 전시도 함께 진행됐다.

아울러 외부 산업체 전문가들이 참여한 심사를 통해 대상, 최우수상, 우수상, 장려상 등 부문별 수상작이 선정됐으며, 수상 학생들에게는 상장과 부상이 수여됐다.

개회식에는 고창섭 총장을 비롯해 자연과학대학장, 의과대학장, 교양교육본부장 등 주요 보직자가 참석해 학생들을 격려했다.

유재수 전자정보대학 학장은 “캡스톤디자인은 산업현장의 문제를 창의적으로 해결하는 실무형 교육과정으로, 오늘의 성과는 학생들의 열정과 노력이 만들어낸 결실”이라며 “이번 경진대회에서 쌓은 경험과 전문지식이 향후 IT·반도체·AI 분야의 기술 혁신을 이끌 밑거름이 될 것”이라고 말했다.

Chungbuk National University's College of Electronic and Information Hosts '25th Capstone Design Graduation Exhibition and Competition'

Chungbuk National University's College of Electronic and Information successfully held the '2025 College of Electronic and Information Capstone Design Graduation Exhibition and Competition' at the Gaesin Cultural Center on November 13th.

This event presented and exhibited the creative comprehensive design (Capstone Design) results students had planned, designed, and produced over the course of a semester, drawing on their specialized knowledge. It served as a platform for fostering creative and practical talent.

This year's graduation exhibition attracted 209 teams and 461 students from seven departments: Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Intelligent Robotics Engineering, and Semiconductor Engineering.

Key exhibits included: an RC car/app-based AI smart companion robot (Como); a deep learning-based real-time pedestrian protection acoustic recognition system; a UWB-based swarm drone location detection system; and an AI-based call training system.

Notably, numerous projects integrating cutting-edge technologies such as AI, robotics, and semiconductors were showcased, garnering praise for their practical educational outcomes and educational innovations that respond to industry changes.

The event featured promotional booths for the Semiconductor Specialized University Business Group and the Industrial AI Research Center, showcasing research achievements and industry-academic collaboration. Promotional posters from graduate school labs were also displayed.

Furthermore, award winners were selected in categories such as Grand Prize, Excellence Prize, and Encouragement Prize through a judging panel comprised of external industry experts. Award winners were awarded certificates and prizes.

The opening ceremony was attended by President Ko Chang-seop, Dean of the College of Natural Sciences, Dean of the College of Medicine, and Director of the General Education Division, among other key officials, who encouraged the students. Dean Jae-soo Yoo of the College of Electronic and Information said, “Capstone Design is a practical educational program that creatively solves problems in the industrial field, and today’s achievement is the fruition of the students’ passion and effort.” He added, “The experience and expertise accumulated in this competition will serve as a foundation for leading technological innovation in the IT, semiconductor, and AI fields in the future.”
