【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 보은군은 13일 산외면 노인복지대학 졸업식을 시작으로, 각 읍·면에서 운영 중인 노인복지대학 졸업식을 순차적으로 개최한다고 밝혔다.

노인복지대학은 노인들의 사회참여 확대와 활기찬 노년생활을 돕기 위한 평생교육 프로그램으로, 매년 3월 개강해 12월까지 건강증진, 교양, 문화·오락, 체험 활동 등 다양한 교육과정을 운영하고 있다.

올해는 총 975명이 졸업하며, 출석률 80% 이상을 달성한 수강생에게는 졸업증서가 수여된다. 또한 대학 운영 발전에 기여한 대상자에 대한 유공자 표창과 성실히 수강한 대상자에 대한 개근상 수여 등 한 해 동안의 배움의 결실을 함께 기념할 예정이다.

이번 졸업식에서는 노인복지대학 운영 활성화에 기여한 유공자 12명이 군수 표창을 받는다. 수상자로는 임근성(대한노인회 보은군지회), 박인선(보은읍), 노경렬(속리산면), 이옥심(장안면), 남현옥(마로면), 양복연(탄부면), 차옥년(삼승면), 전은희(수한면), 김영순·강정숙(회남·회인면), 박영현(내북면), 정영임(산외면) 씨가 선정됐다.

졸업식은 13일 내북면과 산외면을 시작으로 △25일 내북면 및 회남·회인면 △27일 수한면 △12월 2일 보은읍 △3일 마로면 △5일 삼승면 △9일 탄부면 △10일 장안면 △11일 대한노인회 보은군지회 △12일 속리산면 순으로 진행될 예정이다.

특히, 올해는 이동에 어려움이 있거나 교통이 불편한 곳에 거주하는 노인들의 불편 사항을 반영해 이동편의 수단을 지원하는 등 더 많은 노인들이 노인복지대학에 참여할 수 있도록 배려해 큰 호응을 얻었다.
