【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=조병옥 음성군수가 14일 정부예산안 심사 중인 국회를 방문해 내년도 정부 예산안에 대한 지역 현안 사업의 국비 예산 증액 건의에 나섰다.

군은 앞서 기획재정부와 국회를 수차례 방문해 예산 반영의 필요성을 강조해 왔으며, 국회를 찾아 마지막까지 예산 확보에 전력을 다하고 있다. 

먼저 조 군수는 한병도 국회 예산결산특별위원회 위원장을 만나 △국립소방병원 운영비 지원 △소이지구 다목적농촌용수 개발사업 △무극지구 농촌용수 이용체계 재편사업 △전통사찰 보수정비사업 등 사업의 시급성과 당위성을 상세히 설명하며, 예산 반영을 위한 각별한 관심과 지원을 요청했다.

특히 이 자리에서 내년 정식 개원을 앞둔 전국 최초 소방공무원 전문 치료기관인 국립소방병원의 안정적인 운영 기반을 확립하기 위해 정부 차원의 지속적인 예산 지원이 필수적임을 강조했다.

이어, 이광희 국회의원실을 방문해 사업별 국비 확보 타당성을 적극 설명하고 국회 차원의 적극적 협조를 구했다.

이후 기획재정부 예산실 관계자를 만나 군의 미래 성장과 군민 생활에 직결되는 역점 사업의 정당성을 역설하고 국회 예산심의가 끝날 때까지 정부 예산안에 반드시 반영해 줄 것을 강력히 건의했다.

조병옥 군수는 “예산 확보는 지역발전의 출발점”이라며 “국립소방병원의 안정적 운영과 지역 주민의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 필요한 핵심 예산이 반드시 확보될 수 있도록 국회와 정부를 지속적으로 설득해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편 군은 내년도 정부예산안 국회 심의가 마무리되는 12월 초까지 중앙부처, 충청북도, 지역 국회의원과 긴밀히 공조해 주요 현안 사업의 국비가 최대한 반영될 수 있도록 행정력을 집중할 계획이다.

Eumseong County Governor Cho Byeong-ok visited the National Assembly, which is currently reviewing the government budget, on the 14th to propose an increase in national funding for regional projects in next year's budget.
