【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 11일, 교육부가 학교 행정업무 경감 및 효율화 사업의 일환으로 진행한 학교지원사업 운영 우수사례로 충북교육청이 운영 중인 <짝꿍도우미 운영 사업>이 선정되었다고 밝혔다.

짝꿍도우미 사업은 유‧초등학교 담임교사의 수업 및 생활교육을 보조하고, 집중 관리가 필요한 학생의 학교 적응을 체계적으로 돕기 위해 자원봉사 인력을 지원하는 충북교육청의 대표적인 학교지원 사업이다. 

짝꿍도우미는 교수‧학습 보조뿐 아니라 학습자료 준비 및 교실 정리 지원, 집중관리학생 상담‧적응 지원 등 담임교사와 긴밀하게 협업하며 올해는 초등학교 71개교와 유치원 14개원에서 119명이 활동하고 있다.

이 사업을 통해 교사는 수업과 생활교육에 보다 집중할 수 있게 되었으며, 학생은 학급 내에서 개별 지원을 받을 수 있는 기회가 확대되어 학교 현장의 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.

충북교육청은 학교 현장이 체감할 수 있는 행정업무 경감 및 효율화를 위해 유사 업무 및 중복 사업을 정비하고, 디지털 업무개선 연구대회, 일하는 방식 개선 아이디어 공모전 등 학교 현장과 소통하며 효율적인 행정업무추진 방안을 마련하고 있다.

또한, 퇴직교직원을 활용한 동행교육지원단 운영, 초등 수업지원강사 운영, 교무행정지원팀 책임교사 수업 지원 사업 등 지속적으로 현장을 지원할 계획이다.

짝꿍도우미 지원을 받은 청주의 한 초등학교 교사는 “개별지도가 절실한 학생의 수업과 생활지도에 많은 도움이 되었다.”라며, “학생의 안정적 생활습관 형성으로 학급 전체의 수업 집중도가 높아졌고, 학급의 모든 아이들에게 더 많은 관심과 노력을 쏟을 수 있어 매우 만족스럽다.”라고 소감을 밝혔다. 

모지영 정책기획과장은 “학교의 행정업무 부담을 줄이고 학생을 중심에 두고 수업과 생활지도에 집중할 수 있도록 다양한 학교지원 정책을 추진하고 있다.”라며, “앞으로도 학교와 교사가 필요로 하는 지원을 적극적으로 확대해 나가겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
