【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군 농업기술센터는 농기계교육훈련사업의 우수기관으로 선정돼 농촌진흥청장 표창을 수상했다고 12일 밝혔다. 

센터는 지난 1년간 농기계 교육훈련 사업을 위해 교육용 장비 구입 등 국비를 확보해 교육 기반 구축에 힘써왔다.

영농 활동에 실질적인 도움을 주기 위해 드론 조종 자격 취득 과정과 방제 실무교육을 추진하고, 마을별 순회 수리 교육을 통해 농기계 안전 사용을 도모했다.

또한 자가 방제 및 정비 능력 향상 등 농업인의 역량 강화를 위해 연간 약 70회의 교육을 운영했으며, 농기계 사용 전 점검·정비 요령과 안전 사용 수칙 등을 중심으로 한 현장 실무교육을 통해 농기계 안전 사용을 강조해 왔다. 

특히 농기계 조작에 미숙한 신규 농업인과 영농부산물 파쇄지원단을 대상으로 농기계 맞춤형 취급·조작 교육을 실시해 농기계 활용 능력 향상과 안전사고 예방에 주력했다.

아울러 센터에서는 전국적인 재난 발생 시 산불과 호우피해 지역에 전문 인력을 지원해 농작업 대행과 농업기계 수리 등을 지원함으로써, 해당 지역 농업인의 피해를 최소화하는 데에도 힘을 보탰다.

채기욱 농업기술센터 소장은 “앞으로도 농업인의 안전과 역량 강화를 위해 실효성 있는 교육을 지속적으로 확대해 나가는 등 지역 농업 발전에 보탬이 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
