【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군 삼양패키징 진천공장은 생거진천 노인복지센터를 방문해 취약계층 홀몸 어르신을 위한 후원금 300만원을 기탁했다고 12일 밝혔다.

  삼양패키징 진천공장은 문백면에 소재하고 있으며, 이번 이웃돕기 성금은 임직원들이 직접 모아 마련됐다.

  삼양패키징 진천공장 관계자는 “추운 겨울을 맞이해 겨울 난방비 등으로 어려움을 겪는 취약계층 어르신들에게 도움이 되고자 기탁하게 됐다”며 “앞으로도 지역에 소외계층을 위한 다양한 나눔 활동을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

  직원들의 마음을 담아 전달된 성금은 노인 맞춤 돌봄서비스, 재가 노인 지원 서비스 대상자 등 어려운 이웃들에게 전해질 예정이다.

  이인성 센터장은 “우리 지역사회에 소외된 어르신들을 지나치지 않고 따뜻한 마음을 전달해 주셔서 감사드린다”며 “노인복지센터도 관내 취약계층의 따뜻한 겨울나기를 위해 세심하게 살피겠다”고 말했다.
