【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군이 ‘제8회 지방자치단체 회계대상’에서 기초자치단체 우수상을 수상했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 수상으로 군은 2021년·2022년 우수상 및 2023년 장려상 수상에 이어 올해 우수상까지 총 4회 수상이라는 성과를 거두며, 회계 투명성과 재정운영 능력을 다시 한번 인정받았다.

지방자치단체 회계대상은 한국경제신문, 한국공인회계사회가 주최·주관하고 행정안전부·한국지방재정공제회 등이 후원하고 있으며, 2018년부터 회계 투명성과 재정 운영 효율성을 갖춘 지자체를 발굴해 매년 시상하고 있다.

군은 243개 지방자치단체 중 예산운용 및 결산 과정의 효율적 관리와 예·결산 자료 및 재정 공시자료에 대한 뛰어난 접근성을 높이 평가받아 이번 상을 수상하게 됐다.

특히 부서별 신규임용 공무원 및 회계업무 담당자를 대상으로 한 ‘찾아가는 회계교육 실시’ 및 지역업체 우선계약을 통한 ‘지역경제 활성화 기여’등이 우수한 평가 요인으로 꼽혔다.

군 관계자는 “앞으로도 건전한 재정집행과 투명하고 신뢰할 수 있는 재정 관리로 주민의 알 권리를 충족시키는 데 최선을 다하겠다”며 “지속적으로 책임 있는 재정 운영을 강화해 군민 행복을 실현하겠다”고 말했다.
