【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 영동군은 내년 상반기 군민 생활 안정을 지원하고 지역경제 활력을 높이기 위해 ‘영동군 민생안정지원금’ 지급을 추진한다고 12일 밝혔다.

군은 총 약 215억 원 규모의 예산을 투입해 군민 1인당 50만 원씩 지급하는 방안을 마련했으며, 현재 ‘민생경제활성화 지원 조례’ 입법예고 절차를 진행 중이다. 지원 방식은 선불카드로 지급하는 방향이 유력하다.

이번 지원은 내년 1월 중 시행될 예정이며, 지급 대상은 기준일(26년 1월 1일)부터 신청일까지 영동군에 주민등록을 둔 모든 군민이다. 또한 결혼이민자(F6), 영주권자(F5) 등 외국인 등록자도 지원 대상에 포함된다.

사용 기한은 지역경제 순환 효과를 높이기 위해 내년 6월 30일까지로 한정할 계획이다. 사용처는 기존 민생회복 소비쿠폰과 동일하게 영동군 내 연매출 30억 원 이하 소상공인 매장이며, 면 지역 하나로마트도 사용 가능하다.

영동군 관계자는 “최근 농어촌 기본소득 시범사업 선정에서 제외된 상황에서, 군민의 생활 안정과 소비 진작을 위한 군 차원의 민생 대책 마련이 필요했다”며, “민생안정지원금은 군민들의 실질적 부담 완화와 지역경제 활성화에 분명한 도움이 될 것”이라고 말했다.

한편, 영동군은 지난 2일 ‘민생경제 활성화 지원 조례’를 입법예고했으며, 영동군의회는 내년 1월 중 조례안 및 민생안정지원금 예산을 반영한 제1회 추가경정예산안을 심의할 예정이다.
