【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=단양군자원봉사종합센터가 지역 주민들의 건강 증진과 의료 사각지대 해소를 위해 전문 의료 봉사 단체와 협력 체계를 가동한다.

센터는 지난 29일 대한중앙의료봉사회와 지역주민의 건강증진 및 자원봉사 활성화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 양 기관의 상호 신뢰를 바탕으로 지속 가능한 의료지원 시스템을 구축하고, 의료 전문 인력과 지역 자원봉사 네트워크를 결합해 주민 복지 향상에 기여하고자 추진됐다.

협약의 주요 내용은 ▲지역주민 대상 찾아가는 의료봉사 및 건강검진 운영 ▲노인·아동·장애인 등 취약계층 맞춤형 건강지원 프로그램 추진 ▲자원봉사 활동 연계 및 의료봉사 지원체계 구축 등이다.

대한중앙의료봉사회는 의료 전문인력을 바탕으로 체계적인 봉사활동을 펼치며 지역사회 건강 안전망 구축에 앞장서 온 단체로, 이번 협약을 통해 단양 지역의 의료 서비스 질을 한 단계 높일 것으로 기대된다.
