【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주대학교가 충북도내 외국인 유학생들의 지역 정착을 돕고 도내 기업의 인력난을 해결하기 위한 소통의 장을 성공적으로 마무리했다.

청주대는 지난 4일, 교육부의 지역 혁신 중심 대학지원 체계(RISE) 사업의 일환으로 추진된 ‘2026 충청북도 외국인 유학생 채용박람회’를 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 박람회는 충청북도와 청주대를 포함한 도내 8개 대학이 공동 주최하고, 충북기업진흥원과 충북일자리지원센터가 주관했다. 행사의 핵심 목적은 해외 우수 인재들이 학업을 마친 뒤 지역에 머물 수 있는 여건을 조성하고, 일손 부족을 겪는 도내 중소기업에 맞춤형 인력을 연결하는 데 있다.

이석준 청주대 RISE 사업단장은 “이번 박람회는 유학생들이 지역 기업과 교류하며 실질적인 취·창업 역량을 점검하는 지역 정주의 중요한 교두보가 됐다”며 “앞으로도 유학생종합지원센터를 중심으로 지역 정주형 취·창업 지원 모델을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 것”이라고 강조했다.
