협의체는 지역 연합모금사업의 일환으로 저소득 어르신 가구에 ‘가정의 달 효도꾸러미’를 지원했다고 밝혔다. 이번 사업은 경제적 어려움을 겪는 어르신들의 부담을 덜어드리고, 가정의 달에 자칫 소외감을 느낄 수 있는 독거 어르신들의 정서적 안정을 돕기 위해 마련됐다.

효도꾸러미는 보양 즉석국, 즉석밥, 김 등 어르신들이 간편하게 드실 수 있는 7만 원 상당의 식품 세트와 감사의 마음을 담은 카네이션 바구니로 구성됐다.

특히 협의체 위원들과 옥천읍 맞춤형복지팀 직원들은 대상 가구를 일일이 직접 방문해 꾸러미를 전달하며 어르신들의 건강 상태와 안부를 꼼꼼히 확인하는 등 이웃 사랑을 실천했다.

곽상혁·송유정 공동위원장은 “가정의 달에 더 큰 외로움을 느낄 수 있는 어르신들에게 작은 정성이 위로가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 우리 주변의 어려운 이웃을 세심히 살펴 소외되는 분이 없도록 맞춤형 복지 실천에 앞장서겠다”고 전했다.
