【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=진천군 청소년방과후아카데미가 여름방학을 맞아 청소년과 가족이 함께 소통하고 유대감을 다질 수 있는 체험형 교육 프로그램을 제공해 지역 사회의 눈길을 끌고 있다.

진천군 청소년방과후아카데미는 지난 7월 24일부터 8월 8일까지 관내 요리학원에서 청소년과 보호자가 함께하는 요리 체험 프로그램을 총 8회에 걸쳐 성공적으로 운영했다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 성평등가족부와 진천군의 지원 및 한국청소년육성회 진천지구회 운영으로 추진됐으며, 진천교육지원청의 가족 지원 사업인 '도담도담' 프로그램과 연계해 진행됐다. 총 40가족이 참여한 행사에서 참가자들은 한 팀을 이뤄 키토김밥, 맹코바 치킨 등 다채로운 음식을 직접 만들어보고 나누어 먹으며 즐거운 시간을 보냈다.

특히 청소년들이 재료 손질부터 불을 활용한 조리 과정까지 직접 경험해보면서 생활 속 자기주도성과 자립심, 자신감을 자연스럽게 키울 수 있도록 도왔다.

프로그램에 참여한 한 학부모는 현장 인터뷰에서 "평소 바쁜 일상 때문에 아이와 깊은 대화를 나눌 시간이 부족했는데, 함께 요리를 완성해 나가며 많은 이야기를 나눌 수 있어 매우 뜻깊었다"며 "앞으로도 가족 간의 유대감을 다질 수 있는 다양한 체험 활동이 지속적으로 마련되기를 바란다"고 소감을 전했다.

진천군 청소년방과후아카데미 관계자 역시 인터뷰를 통해 "청소년들이 가족과 함께하는 요리 활동을 통해 소통의 즐거움을 배우고 자존감을 높이는 계기가 되었기를 기대한다"며 "앞으로도 지역 청소년들의 건강한 성장을 돕기 위한 맞춤형 프로그램을 다각도로 발굴해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

한편 진천군 청소년방과후아카데미는 초등학교 4학년과 5학년을 대상으로 학습지원, 진로 개발, 체험 활동은 물론 급식 및 귀가 지원까지 포함된 종합 돌봄 서비스를 전액 무료로 제공하며 청소년의 건강한 성장을 돕고 있다.
