새마을지도자 옥천읍협의회와 부녀회는 1일 옥천군장학회를 찾아 지역 인재 양성에 써달라며 장학금 100만 원을 전달했다. 이번 장학금은 회원들이 포도와 복숭아를 함께 판매해 마련한 수익금으로, 관내 학생들의 학업 지원과 교육 환경 개선에 활용될 예정이다.
