한국교통대학교 AI에듀테크융합교육원은 지난 8월 31일 충주혜성학교 학생들을 초청해 ‘찾아오는 AI·SW 미래학교’를 운영했다. 이번 행사는 충북에듀테크소프트랩에서 검증된 최신 에듀테크 기술을 발달장애 학생들의 특성과 학습 수준에 맞게 재구성하여 현장 교육에 적용하기 위해 기획됐다.

이날 교육에서는 ZEP, 핑퐁로봇, 알티노, AI 로봇 리쿠, 교육용 키오스크 등 다양한 디지털 기기가 활용됐다. 학생들은 학년별 소그룹으로 나뉘어 AI 로봇 리쿠와 대화를 나누고, 핑퐁로봇과 알티노를 조작하며 코딩의 기초 원리를 익혔다. 이어 드론 카드코딩과 모션코딩 등 직접 기술을 다루며 문제를 해결하는 참여형 중심의 활동이 펼쳐졌다.

미래 모빌리티 교육 분야는 가상과 현실을 잇는 첨단 체험 방식으로 꾸려졌다. 학생들은 메타버스 플랫폼 ZEP 기반의 가상 공간에서 도심항공교통(UAM)을 탐색한 뒤, 대학 내 설치된 UAM 시뮬레이터와 AI 드론을 직접 구동해 보는 시간을 가졌다. 이동형 에듀테크 공간인 '에듀이음 일렉버스랩'에서는 철도, 항공, UAM, 드론 VR 시뮬레이터와 키오스크를 접하며 미래 기술을 체감했다.

이번 교육은 한국교통대 AI에듀테크융합교육원과 충주혜성학교가 그동안 이어온 특수교육 분야 디지털 협력의 결실이다. 양 기관은 2025년 업무협약 체결 이후 현장의 요구를 반영한 맞춤형 에듀테크 프로그램을 꾸준히 기획해 왔다.
