이날 현장 방문에는 보건환경위원회 위원들을 비롯해 주민지원협의체, 청주시 자원정책과와 자원관리과, 환경공무직 센터, 청주도시공사 관계자 등 30여 명이 참가해 자원순환 체계를 함께 점검했다.

위원회는 주민지원협의체 사무실 방문을 시작으로 청주권 광역소각시설을 찾아 폐기물 처리 과정과 전반적인 운영 현황을 확인했다. 이어 현장 관계자들과 자원순환 관련 주요 현안을 논의한 뒤, 재활용품 선별시설과 환경공무직 센터를 차례로 이동하며 시설 가동 상태와 근무 여건에 대한 상세한 설명을 들었다.
