Chungbuk National University Career Support Center Conducts High-Tech Industry Tour for Outstanding Science and Engineering Talents
The Western Region Career Support Center operated by Chungbuk National University has provided youth with an opportunity to directly experience sites of future cutting-edge technology and proactively design their career paths.
The Chungbuk National University Career Support Center successfully completed the 2026 Western Region Career Support Center Industry Tour Program for Outstanding Science and Engineering Talents at FairX and the Samsung Innovation Hall, targeting students from Cheongyang Jeongsan High School. This program was planned as part of the Regional Hub Science and Technology Talent Career Support Center project promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Foundation for Science and Creativity. It was designed to allow students to broaden their knowledge of local industries and promising future fields, as well as to expose them to core cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and semiconductors.
Students visited FairX, an augmented reality solution company, and directly experienced immersive content combining artificial intelligence and augmented reality technologies. In the subsequent lecture, strategies for designing future career paths utilizing text and image-based AI spatial generation platforms were introduced. Through participatory activities in the form of project-based learning, the practical applicability of the technology and related job roles were explored in depth.
Furthermore, students visiting the Samsung Innovation Hall toured the innovation processes in cutting-edge technology fields such as semiconductors, displays, and mobile technology, as well as talent development content focused on future competencies. On-site, special lectures on future career planning and group job-oriented project activities took place, providing students with the opportunity to concretize their aptitudes and connect job roles in future industries.
In an interview, Kim Hyung-beom, Head of the Career Support Center, explained, "This industry visit was a meaningful time where students could cultivate core future competencies and entrepreneurial capabilities by directly experiencing immersive content and the technology sites of big tech companies." Kim added, "I hope this served as an opportunity for youth dreaming of entering local industries to explore their aptitudes and design concrete career paths on their own. We will continue to operate various career programs to enable students interested in science and engineering to proactively prepare for their future."
In the lecture, a method for designing future career paths using an AI spatial generation platform based on text and image input was introduced. Chungbuk National University Career Support Center plans to continuously expand field-oriented career support programs linked to regional industrial infrastructure and future advanced fields in the future.
