Chungbuk Development Corporation Delivers Holiday Gifts to Underprivileged Children by Joining Hands with Public, Private, and Welfare Organizations

The Chungbuk Development Corporation, in collaboration with the Chungbuk Women's Manufacturing Convergence Association and World Vision Chungbuk Headquarters, held a sharing event to spread warmth and affection to underprivileged children in the region in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.

A delivery ceremony for the "Boreum Tokki (Full Moon Rabbit) Package," which embodies the meaning of "a heart filled like a full moon," was held at the Sangdang Hall on the second floor of the Chungbuk Development Corporation. This project is a collaborative social contribution initiative jointly funded by the Chungbuk Development Corporation and the Chungbuk Women's Manufacturing Convergence Association with a total of 31 million won, implemented in conjunction with World Vision Chungbuk Headquarters. It is being praised as an exemplary model of public-private-welfare cooperation, where a public enterprise, local businesses, and social welfare organizations pooled their resources and capabilities.

Approximately 30 employees of the Chungbuk Development Corporation personally participated in the packaging of the items at the event. Employees sorted food, daily necessities, and gifts specifically for children, reflecting their ages and daily needs, and carefully packaged them to complete a total of 50 "Boreumtokki" (Full Moon Rabbit) packages, with three bundles per child. Thirty-four member companies of the Chungbuk Women's Manufacturing Convergence Association also lent their support by donating their own manufactured goods and cash. The completed packages will be delivered sequentially to 50 underprivileged children through welfare institutions in the Cheongju, Chungju, and Jecheon regions, while the remaining donated items will be given to the Cheongju Regional Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.

In an interview at the site, Kim Soon-gu, President of the Chungbuk Development Corporation, stated, "This event is very meaningful because it went beyond simple donation of goods; employees directly participated in the packaging volunteer work, and the three institutions collaborated closely." He added, "We will continue to practice social responsibility that residents can truly experience." Following this, Lee Kyung-hee, President of the Chungbuk Women's Manufacturing Convergence Association, stated, "I hope the gifts, made with the combined sincerity of our member companies and the Corporation, will become warm holiday memories for the children." Jo Seong-jun, Head of World Vision Chungbuk Headquarters, responded, "I thank the organizations and companies that joined forces, and we will do our best to ensure these precious gestures are delivered to families in need."

The Chungbuk Development Corporation plans to continue its mutually beneficial initiatives to care for marginalized neighbors, based on an organic network of cooperation within the local community.
