【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시가 지역 내 경유 사용 자동차 소유자들을 대상으로 올해 하반기 환경개선부담금을 부과하고 기한 내 성실한 납부를 당부했다.

충주는 관내 경유 사용 자동차 4,800여 대에 대해 총 2억 5,800만 원 규모의 2026년 2기분 환경개선부담금을 부과했다고 밝혔다.

환경개선부담금은 오염 원인자 부담 원칙에 따라 환경오염 유발자에게 개선에 필요한 비용의 일부를 부담하게 하는 제도로, 지난 2012년 7월 이전 생산된 경유 차량을 대상으로 매년 3월과 9월 연 2회 부과된다.

이번에 부과된 2기분은 올해 1월 1일부터 6월 30일까지의 자동차 사용분에 대한 것으로, 배기량과 차량 연식 등을 종합적으로 산정해 6월 30일 기준 자동차등록원부상 소유자에게 결정됐다.

납부 기간은 오는 9월 30일까지다. 금융기관 창구 방문을 비롯해 고지서에 기재된 전용 가상계좌 이체, 금융기관 현금입출금기, 위택스, 인터넷지로 등 다양한 온·오프라인 수단을 통해 편리하게 납부할 수 있다.
