청주시의회 의원 연구단체인 청주시의회 문화·예술연구회는 청주시의회 특별위원회실에서 발대식을 개최하고 향후 연구 일정에 착수했다고 밝혔다.

이번 연구회는 11명의 시의원으로 구성됐으며, 문화와 예술을 매개로 한 보편적 시민 복지 향상을 핵심 주제로 삼아 지역 문화예술계와의 구체적인 상생 및 공존 방안을 모색할 방침이다.

이날 발대식 현장에는 연구회 소속 의원들과 관계 공무원 등 30명이 참석해 향후 연구 방향에 대한 뜻을 모았다. 이어 연구 활동 역량 강화를 위해 '소리로 여는 문화복지, 음악이 만드는 행복도시 청주'를 주제로 언론계 전문가를 초청해 특강을 진행하며 의제 발굴을 위한 자리를 가졌다.

청주시의회 문화·예술연구회 관계자는 올해는 연구단체의 실질적인 활동 기간이 짧고 하반기 주요 의정 일정이 집중되어 있는 점을 고려해, 특정 정책에 대한 장기간의 심층 연구보다는 문화예술과 시민 복지의 접점을 탐색하고 내년도 본격적인 연구를 위한 핵심 정책 의제를 발굴하는 데 주력하겠다고 전했다.
