【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청이 미래 농생명산업을 이끌어갈 지역 농업계고 학생들의 실무 역량 강화와 진로 탐색을 위해 현장 지원에 나섰다.

충청북도교육청은 도내 농업계고 4개교 학생 84명이 대구농업마이스터고등학교에서 열리는 제55년차 전국영농학생축제에 참가해 사흘간 전공 실력을 겨룬다고 밝혔다.

이번 축제는 농업계고 학생들이 교과 과정에서 배운 전공 지식과 기술을 나누고 전국 단위 교류를 통해 미래 농업의 비전을 탐색하는 자리다. 올해는 인공지능과 농업의 융합을 다룬 ‘내일을 위한 오늘의 혁신! AI농업으로 비상하라!’를 주제로 전국 1,500여 명의 학생과 관계자가 모였다.

충북에서는 청주농업고, 충북생명산업고, 한국바이오마이스터고, 영동산업과학고 등 총 4개 학교 학생들이 도 대표로 참가했다. 대회 첫날 실무능력경진 및 전공경진, 과제이수발표 등에 참여한 학생들은 이론과 감정 시험 등을 통해 갈고닦은 전문성을 가감 없이 발휘했다.

이어 개최되는 농생명산업 전시·체험마당, 골든벨 행사, 예술제 등을 통해 참가 학생들은 AI 기반 첨단 농업 기술을 체험하고 전국 또래 학생들과 네트워크를 넓히는 기회를 갖는다.

충청북도교육청 관계자는 전국영농학생축제가 학생들이 쌓은 기술을 선보이고 미래 농업의 발전 방향을 깊이 고민하는 뜻깊은 장이라며, 인공지능 등 첨단 기술이 농업의 패러다임을 바꾸고 있는 만큼 학생들이 미래 농생명산업을 선도할 창의적 전문 인재로 성장하도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다고 전했다.
