【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 괴산군이 산림복지서비스 기반확충과 산림 탄소중립 정책 시행을 통해 ‘숲과 더불어 행복한 산림복지’ 구현에 박차를 가하고 있다.

 

군은 산림복지서비스 기반확충을 위해 산림복지단지, 호국정원, 숲교육・체험단지 등에 454억원을 투입해 2025년 완공할 계획이며, 산림 탄소중립 실천을 위해 2022년도에 조림 및 숲가꾸기, 산림기반시설구축, 탄소중립도시숲 조성에 119억원을 투입할 예정이다.

 

군은 체류형 관광인프라 구축을 위해 장연면 오가리 일원에 294억원의 예산이 투입되는 중부권 최초의 ’산림복지단지‘를 조성 중이다.

 

주요시설로는 자연휴양림, 산림레포츠단지, 치유의 숲, 숲속야영장 등이 있으며, 모든 시설을 남녀노소, 보행약자 등 누구나 일상생활에서 지친 몸과 마음을 자연 속에서 힐링할 수 있는 공간으로 조성할 계획이다.

 

묘지 문화의 순례공간을 넘어 치유, 희망의 공간으로 탈바꿈하고자 국립괴산호국원 일원에 100억원을 투입해 괴산호국정원 조성사업을 진행한다.

 

올해는 실내정원을 완료하고, 내년도에 진행할 실외정원과 산림공원 조성사업의 예산을 확보하며 차질 없이 진행 중이다.

 

또한 사리면 이곡리 일원에 60억원의 예산을 들여 ‘숲교육·체험단지’를 조성하고 산림교육 및 수목관리 전문가 양성에 나선다.

 

‘숲교육·체험단지’ 세부시설로는 숲교육센터, 로프어드벤쳐시설, 아보리스트 실내훈련센터 등이 들어서며, 올해 실시설계용역을 완료하고 내년부터 본격적인 조성에 돌입해 2023년 완공할 예정이다.

 

또한 산림분야의 최대 그린오션으로 떠오르는 탄소중립 분야에 금년 대비 2배 이상의 예산인 119억원을 내년에 투입할 계획이다.

 

군은 산림 탄소중립을 위해 지속적인 산림경영을 통한 탄소흡수원 확충, 목재이용 활성화를 통한 탄소저장량 확대, 생활 속 탄소저감 실천에 나설 방침이다.

 

이를 위해 2022년에는 119억원을 투입해 조림 및 숲가꾸기(3,152㏊), 산림기반시설(임도 5km), 탄소중립도시숲 3개소를 조성하고 지속 확대할 예정이다.

 

또한 군은 올해말 탄소흡수원 국산목재 목조건축 실연사업(130억원)과 산림에너지자립마을 조성사업(45억원) 등 산림 탄소중립 실천을 위한 공모사업에 신청할 계획이다.

 

이차영 괴산군수는 “산림이 주는 휴양과 복지, 문화 기능을 적극 활용하는 한편 산림자원을 활용해 임업인과 귀산촌인의 소득 창출을 돕고, 산림 일자리도 지속적으로 확대해나갈 계획으로 괴산군을 ‘숲과 더불어’ 살아가는 지역으로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
