Jincheon-gun Public Health Center mobilizes movable resources and manpower to fully respond to infectious diseases

-bongsu kim reporter

Jincheon-gun is doing its best to prevent the spread of the coronavirus 365 days a year.

According to the county health center on the 9th, starting with the opening of the screening clinic on January 27 of last year, mobile clinics, epidemiological investigations, patient evacuation, and vaccination centers are being operated in all-weather conditions according to the situation of confirmed cases.

However, despite these efforts by the military, it is not free from the nationwide increase in the number of confirmed cases.

As of December 7th, the number of confirmed cases in the county was 1,056, which is 0.68% of the total sample size of 154,508.

In addition, a total of 6 deaths occurred, indicating a fatality rate of 0.56%.

In particular, the number of confirmed cases in the three months since September was 547, accounting for 53.4% of the total number of confirmed cases.

Fortunately, there were 190 cases in September and 220 cases in October, but the increase seems to be slowing with 131 cases last month.

This is because the executive order was issued twice in September and October to make the diagnostic test (PCR) mandatory for newly hired workers by companies, and to recommend hiring people who were vaccinated against the coronavirus when hiring foreigners such as local businesses, businesses, and farms. The military is analyzing that it is having an effect.

In addition, facility quarantine management and mask distribution through 1:1 employee matching by company, and active operation of mobile screening clinics for 24 days from the end of September to three branches in Gwanghyewon, Deoksan, and Iwol also contributed to the decrease in the number of confirmed cases. watching.

At the same time, the military is focusing on vaccinations to fundamentally prevent the infection of COVID-19 and prevent the aggravation of the infected.

As of December 7, the first 77,980 (93.7%) and second 75,206 (90.4%) inoculations were completed in the group, which is higher than the national standard of 83.2% and 80.6%.

In addition, as recent outbreaks of Omicron mutated virus and breakthrough infections have occurred, additional vaccinations are in a hurry.

The military plans to quickly conduct vaccinations for unvaccinated people, such as teenagers and the elderly, and booster shots for those who have completed the second vaccination.

In addition, a new home treatment management T/F team will be established to form two teams, a health management team and an isolation management team.

Kim Min-ki, head of the military health center, said, "All public officials in the military, including health personnel, are working tirelessly to protect the safety and life of the military, but we are sorry that we have not been able to create a stable situation of the confirmed cases that will satisfy the military." "All available resources and manpower We will do our best to overcome the current crisis and restore healthy daily life.”
