충북경찰, 이륜차 배달 종사자 교통안전교육 업무협약 체결

【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북경찰청(청장 정용근)은 9일 충북경찰청에서 ‘코로나19’ 장기화로 급증한 배달 이륜차의 안전운행을 유도하기 위해 ‘배달종사자 교통안전교육’을 신설하여 도내 주요 배달대행업체인 스피드콜 등 6개 업체와 도로교통공단 충북지부, 한국교통안전공단 충북본부가 참여하는 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

 

이번 ‘배달종사자 교통안전교육’ 업무협약을 통해 경찰은 교통안전을 위한 정보를 제공하고, 도로교통공단 충북지부에서는 배달 종사자의 교통안전교육 프로그램 운영하기로 했으며, 교통안전공단 충북본부에서는 강사 지원과 교통안전용품 등을 제공하기로 했다. 

 

도내 배달대행의 90% 이상을 차지하고 있는 6개 업체에서는 배달종사자들의 교통안전교육에 적극 참여토록 하고, 준법운행에 앞장설 것을 약속했다.

 

배달종사자 교통안전교육’은 매월 둘째·넷째주 목요일, 회차별 50명씩 ‘도로교통공단 충북지부 교육장’에서 이륜차 교통사고의 위험성과 차량 운행 특성 등 배달 이륜차 운전자를 위한 맞춤형 교육으로 진행하며 교육을 이수한 경우 수료증을 발급한다.

 

배달대행업체 대표인 ‘오빠콜’ 이계성 대표는 “배달종사자에 대한 교육안전교육을 통해 준법운행 문화 조성에 적극 참여할 예정이고, 이를 통해 일반 시민들의 배달종사자들에 대한 인식도 변화하는 계기가 되도록 노력하겠다.” 고 말했다.

 

정용근 충북경찰청장은 “최근 배달이륜차의 법규위반과 사고위험에 대한 우려가 커지는 가운데 성숙한 배달 이륜차 운행문화를 만들기 위해 배달대행업체의 자발적인 참여로 배달종사자 교육과정을 운영하게 된 것은 매우 의미있는 일이며, 전국에서 가장 모범적인 배달문화가 정착되기를 기대한다.”고 말했다.
