청주시립미술관, ‘2020-2021 신소장품전 : 사유의 방법’ 전시

【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주시립미술관이 2020년과 2021년 수집된 기증작과 신소장품을 공개하는 ‘2020-2021 신소장품전: 사유의 방법’ 전시를 오는 13일부터 개최한다. 

 

청주시립미술관은 2016년 개관 이래 지금까지 구입·기증·관리전환으로 316점을 수집했고, 기존 대청호미술관의 소장품을 포함하면 총 615점이 청주시립미술관 소장품으로 등록되었다. 

 

최근 주목할 만한 점은 지역 및 외부 작가의 기증이 눈에 띄게 증가한 것이다. 

 

청주시립미술관 기획전에 참여한 故왕철수, 故이완호 작가의 유족으로부터 다수의 작품을 기증받았고, 서울대학교 교수로 재직하면서 왕성한 창작활동을 펼쳤던 한운성 작가가 유화와 판화작품 20점을 기증했다. 

 

청주시립미술관은 기증하신 분들에 대한 감사의 마음을 시민들과 나누고자 기증작품과 신소장품 67점을 선정해 ‘사유의 방법’ 전을 개최한다. 

 

그동안 청주시립미술관은 소장품 수집 계획에 따른 상시 연구조사를 통해 작품 수집을 진행해 왔다. 

 

특히 국내외 현대미술 대표 작가와 충북 출신 작가 연구를 기반으로 한 작고 및 생존 작가의 작품, 그리고 미술관 기획전 참여작가 중 우수 작품을 선정해 수집이 진행되었다. 

 

청주시립미술관 이상봉 관장은 “향후 청주시립미술관의 특성을 보여줄 수 있는 작품들이 수집되어 공립미술관으로서의 역할과 기능을 다 하고 미술관의 위상을 세워나가는 소장품의 지속적인 연구도 병행해 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다. 

 

이번 전시는 청주시립미술관의 컬렉션 방향과 정체성을 보여주는 소장품 기획전으로 구성되었다. 

 

다양한 장르의 작품과 작가군으로 구성된 이번 전시를 통해 각각의 작품이 지닌 의미와 가치를 관람객 스스로 느끼고 사유할 수 있는 시간이 되기를 바라며, 청주시립미술관이 지향하는 비전과 정체성, 그리고 앞으로의 방향성을 가늠해 볼 수 있는 기회가 되기를 바란다.

 

한편, 청주시립미술관의 분관인 오창전시관에서는 ‘증강풍경 AR展_AR로 보는 소장품’ 전시가 같은 날 개막한다. 

 

이 전시에서는 청주시립미술관 신소장품 10점이 공개되며, 그중 5점은 AR 기술을 활용해 관람객 참여형 전시로 꾸며진다. 

 

더불어 청주시립미술관은 단계적 일상회복 방역지침을 준수하며, 접종완료자(이외 PCR음성확인자, 만18세 이하 등 접종예외자 포함) 확인, 발열체크, 마스크 착용 의무화, 관람 인원 제한 등 안전한 관람 환경을 만들기 위해 노력하고 있다.
