증평군, 미호강 통합물관리 상생협약 동참

【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평군은 13일 오전 10시 환경부에서 열린 9개 기관 참여 ‘미호강 통합물관리를 위한 상생협약’에 동참했다.

 

이번 협약으로 환경부, 충북도, 청주시, 증평군, 진천군, 괴산군, 음성군, 한국수자원공사, 한국농어촌공사(충북지역본부)는 미호강 수질 개선 및 수생태계 복원을 위한 정책 및 기술의 발굴・보급, 예산 확보를 위해 공동의 노력을 기울일 계획이다.

 

또한 16일부터 내달 15일까지 미호강 유량 확보를 위한 댐・저수지 활용 시범사업 기간을 정하여 연구용역 추진, 미호강 수질개선 및 수생태계 복원 추진, 수질 오염원 발생 저감을 위한 참여・협력・실천 등을 공동으로 추진된다. 대청댐 및 농업용 저수지 5개소(삼기저수지, 백곡저수지, 맹동저수지, 광혜저수지, 한계저수지)의 운영개선을 통해 하루 23만 2천톤의 용수를 미호강 수질개선에 활용하는 것이다. 다만, 생활・공업・농업용수 공급에 지장이 없는 범위 내 진행되며, 용수공급에 지장이 있다고 판단되는 경우 즉각 중단할 예정이다.
