  현재 제천화폐는 월 구매한도 금액 70만원이며 지류 구매 대상은 만 40세 이상, 월 50만원으로 운영되고 있다.

 김창규 제천시장은 “시민들의 제천화폐 사용이 꾸준히 증가하고 있어 이를 통해 소상공인의 매출 증대를 돕고 지역 내 자금순환을 통한 지역경제 활성화에 도움이 되는 것으로 판단된다”며, “제천화폐 모아를 적극 사용해 주시기 바란다.”고 말했다.

 한편, 지류형 제천화폐는 판매대행점인 51개 금융기관에서 구입이 가능하며, 제천화폐 모아카드는 관내 농협 및 우체국을 방문하여 발급 가능하고, 카드·모바일형의 충전은 금융기관 방문 또는 스마트폰 앱 ‘지역상품권 chak’을 통해 이용할 수 있다.
