【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=보은군은 초고령화로 인한 사회적 문제의 선제적 대응과 노인복지 확대 및 내실화를 위해 다양한 맞춤형 정책을 펼친다고 5일 밝혔다.

지난해 12월 말 기준 보은군의 노인인구는 12,537명으로 전체 인구 30,527명의 41%를 차지하고 있다. 이에 군은 체감할 수 있는 노인복지 실현을 위해 노인복지정책 예산을 전년 대비 42억원 늘어난 586억원으로 책정하고 다양한 사업을 전개해 노인복지정책을 강화할 방침이다.

먼저 활기차고 건강한 노후생활을 영위할 수 있도록 노인 일자리 및 사회활동지원사업을 위해 67억원의 예산을 투입해 전년 대비 200명 늘어난 1,762명에게 일자리를 제공한다.

노인일자리는 (사)대한노인회보은군지회와 보은군노인장애인복지관 등 2개 기관이 △노인공익활동(9988행복지키미, 경로당 운영 도우미, 지역사회환경개선, 복지시설 봉사 등) △노인역량활용사업(온종일 돌봄지원, 사회복지시설지원, 시니어교육지원, 장애인서비스 지원 등) △취업지원(취업알선) △ 공동체사업단(본빵대추카페) 등의 사업을 통해 노인들에게 안정된 소득을 보장한다.

또한 저소득 재가노인 식사배달사업 및 경로식당 무료급식사업에 2,400만원의 예산을 투입해 결식 우려가 있는 노인들에게 무료 급식을 제공해 기본적인 삶의 질을 보장한다.

노인의 여가문화 생활 향상을 위해 11개소 노인복지대학을 운영하고 여가문화 강사와 화상플랫폼을 이용한 실시간 양방향 소통 강의가 진행되는 ‘경린이의 신통방통’도 경로당 15개소에서 운영한다.
