【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군 보건소(소장 박성희)는 정신건강복지센터 운영 활성화를 위해 직원간담회를 개최하였다고 6일 밝혔다.

이날 간담회에는 황규철 옥천군수를 비롯하여 옥천군보건소 정신보건팀과 정신건강복지센터 종사자 20여 명이 참석하였고 종사자들의 애로사항을 청취하며 앞으로의 사업 방향에 대해 논의하는 시간을 가졌다.

옥천군정신건강복지센터는 정신건강증진사업과 자살예방사업을 통해 지역주민의 정신건강을 보호하고 자살 예방을 위한 다양한 활동을 전개하고 있으며, 올해는 ‘생명존중안심마을 조성사업’을 적극 추진할 예정이다.

생명존중안심마을 조성사업이란 자살예방에 효과적인 사업들을 수행하기 위해 지역사회 내 자원과 네트워크를 적극 활용하여 자살예방 안전망을 구축하고 생명존중 문화를 확산하고자 추진하는 사업이다. 

현재 관내 보건소는 경찰서, 소방서, 교육기관, 민간 단체 등과 유기적인 협력을 통해 촘촘한 안전망을 구축하여 지역주민을 위해 통합적으로 도움을 제공하고 있다.

주요 내용으로는 자살 고위험군 조기 발굴 및 맞춤형 지원, 생명지킴이 양성 및 교육, 지역사회 정신건강 인식 개선 캠페인, 자살위기 대응 협력체계 구축 등이다.

또한 위기 상황 발생 시 즉각적인 도움을 받을 수 있도록 위기개입팀을 24시간 운영하여 정신건강상담 및 평가를 통해 신속한 치료 연계를 지원하고 있다. 

황규철 옥천군수는“오늘 간담회를 통해 현장의 목소리를 들을 수 있어 값진 시간이였고 다시한번 정신건강복지센터 종사자들의 헌신적인 노력에 감사드린다”며“말씀해주신 애로사항들을 면밀히 살펴보고 실질적인 지원책을 마련해 정신건강 서비스의 질을 더욱 향상시키겠다”고 말했다.

박성희 보건소장은“생명존중 안심마을 조성사업은 지역사회 구성원 모두가 함께 만들어가는 사업으로 주민들과 기관·단체의 적극적인 참여가 매우 중요하다”며“앞으로도 이러한 간담회 자리를 자주 마련하여 자살률 감소와 정신건강 증진을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
