【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주대학교(총장 김윤배)는 경영학과 최우재(사진) 교수가 (사)한국기업경영학회 제29대 회장으로 취임했다고 6일 밝혔다. 최우재 회장의 임기는 올해 1년이다.

한국기업경영학회는 경영학 전반의 학술 연구뿐만 아니라 정책 제언, 미래 이슈 발굴 등의 역할을 수행하는 국내 대표적인 학술 단체로, 현재 회원 수 1,895명을 보유하고 있다. 

학회는 ㈜삼구아이앤씨(구자관 책임대표사원)의 후원을 받아 국내 최대 규모의 우수학술연구 시상(벽소학술상)을 매년 진행하며, 이를 통해 수준 높은 연구 논문들이 학술대회 및 학술지 ‘기업경영연구’를 통해 발표되고 있다. 

또한 초대 인사혁신처장을 지낸 이근면 이사장(사람들연구소)은 학회를 통해 신진 연구자 육성(운암학술상)을 지속적으로 후원하며 학문 발전에 기여하고 있다.

한국기업경영학회 회장 선정위원회는 최 교수의 학술적 성과와 실무적 기여를 높이 평가했다. 그는 학술지 ‘기업경영연구’ 편집위원장을 역임하며, 해당 학술지를 경영학 분야 최상위 인용지수를 기록하는 학술지로 성장시키는 데 중요한 역할을 했다. 

이와 함께 중대재해처벌법 제정 과정에서 산업계, 노동계, 정부 간 의견을 조율하며 실효성 있는 정책 개선을 유도한 점도 높은 평가를 받았다. 특히 그는 학회의 활동에 대학교수와 대학원생뿐만 아니라 산업계 전문가, 공공기관 및 중앙·지방 공무원의 적극적인 참여를 유도하여 학회의 사회적 위상을 한층 높이는 데에 기여했다는 평이다.

최우재 신임 회장은 “급변하는 경영환경에 대응하기 위해 대한민국의 모든 영역에서 각자가 맡은 역할을 충실히 수행해야 할 때”라며 “또한 한국기업경영학회는 올해 국내·외 비즈니스 이슈를 발굴하고 다양한 이해관계자의 의견을 수렴해 발전적인 제언을 하겠다”고 강조했다. 

특히 글로벌 비즈니스 경쟁력 강화와 지속가능성 제고를 위해 기술 진화(AI)와 기업의 대응 전략, 조세정책(상속세 등) 개편 및 노동 개혁(노동 생산성 향상), 지방 경쟁력 강화를 위한 정책 등을 중점 의제로 제시했다. 

최우재 회장은 “경영학이 단순한 이론을 넘어 기업, 정부, 사회가 함께 성장하는 실천적 학문으로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 학회의 역할을 강화해 나가겠다”며 학회의 책임과 역할 확대를 강조했다.
