【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 영동군이 혈액 수급 위기에 대응하고 군민들의 헌혈 참여를 독려하기 위해 '헌혈 장려 지원사업'을 추진한다.

 ‘헌혈 장려 지원사업’은 2015년부터 11년째 지속되고 있으며, 군민들의 자발적인 헌혈 참여를 유도하고 원활한 혈액 수급을 통해 생명과 건강을 보호하고자 추진된다.

 영동군은 대한적십자사 충북혈액원과 지난 5일 협약을 체결하고, 헌혈자에게 영동사랑상품권을 지급하는 지원책을 마련했다. 

 이번 사업을 위해 군은 올해 영동사랑상품권 1만원권 800장을 마련했으며, 영동군을 방문하는 헌혈버스에서 헌혈하는 이들에게 1회당 1만원권을 제공할 예정이다. 상품권 지원은 2월 헌혈분부터 적용되며, 상품권 수량이 소진될 때까지 지속될 예정이다.

 헌혈버스는 대한적십자사 충북혈액원이 영동군 기관·단체와 협의해 배차 및 운영한다. 자세한 사항은 영동군 보건소 의약관리팀으로 문의하면 된다. 

 군 보건소 관계자는 “헌혈에 참여하는 군민들에게 영동사랑상품권을 지원함으로써 소중한 생명을 살리는 데 기여하고, 지역 경제 활성화에도 도움이 되기를 바란다”며 “건강 상태를 점검하고 이웃을 돕는 뜻깊은 헌혈에 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
