【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=보은군은 지난 6일 군수실에서 농업회사법인 엔에프지(주)와 스마트농업 육성지구 내 스마트팜 시설 투자에 대한 협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 미래 농업의 초석이 될 보은군 스마트농업 생태계 구축을 위해 농림축산식품부에서 공모사업으로 추진 중인 스마트농업 육성지구 내 신규 스마트팜 시설 투자 및 단지 내 생산농산물의 유통·․판매에 협력하기 위해 이뤄졌다.

엔에프지(주)는 충남 논산에 본사를 둔 농업 전문 기업으로 농산물 연구·생산·가공·유통을 체계적으로 일원화해 대한민국 농산물의 고품질화를 선도하고 있으며 지역 농업 경쟁력 제고에도 힘쓰는 등 고용 및 지역 농산물 유통에 많은 도움이 될 것으로 예상된다. 

군은 그동안 공모사업 유치를 위해 장안면 장안리 일원 10ha 이상의 군유지를 확보해 공모사업 선정을 위해 평가 항목별 대응 방안 및 기본계획을 수립하는 등 행정절차를 이행하는 등 지속적으로 노력하고 있다.

최재형 보은군수는 “우리군에 투자를 결정해 주신 엔에프지(주)에 감사를 전하고 함께 상생할 수 있도록 지속적으로 협력해 나가겠다”며, “스마트농업 육성지구 조성을 통해 스마트팜 확산의 기반을 마련하고 지역의 새로운 활력과 청년 농업인의 유입 등을 위해 보은군은 모든 역량을 결집하겠다”고 전했다.
