【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군(군수 조병옥)과 (주)잼토리(대표 박화정)는 7일 군수 집무실에서 ‘2025년 청년마을 만들기 사업’ 추진을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.

이 사업은 행정안전부 민간공모로, 외지 청년이 새로운 지역에서 삶의 기회를 찾을 수 있도록 지역에 관한 관심과 흥미를 유발하고, 청년 유입으로 지역에 활력을 제고하기 위해 △지역 살아보기 △일거리 실험 △청년 활동공간 구축 △지역과 관계 맺기 등의 프로그램을 추진하는 사업이다.

음성군 청년기업 ㈜잼토리가 중심이 돼 도시 청년들이 지역에 정착할 수 있도록 취업·창업 교육 및 체험 프로그램 등을 추진하며, 군은 사업에 필요한 공간 및 예산 등을 적극 검토해 지원할 예정이다.

올해 청년마을 만들기 지원사업은 전국 12개소를 선정하며 최종 사업자 선정 결과는 4월 중 발표된다.

조병옥 군수는 “군의 지역적 특색과 자원을 활용한 독창적인 청년마을 조성으로 외지 청년이 음성군에서 새로운 삶의 기회를 찾기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

한편 ㈜잼토리는 문화체육관광부와 한국관광공사의 ‘관광두레’ 사업의 주민사업체이며, 산업관광·농촌관광 등 특색있는 여행상품 개발로 음성군의 지역관광을 활성화하고 있다.
