【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=영동세계국악엑스포조직위원회(이하 조직위)는 7일 감독진에 대한 위촉장 수여식을 개최했다.

  이날 정영철 공동조직위원장(영동군수)은 주재근 정효문화재단 대표를 기획·운영 감독으로, 민영치 신한악(국악과 재즈의 만남) 예술감독 및 김희선 국민대학교 교수를 음악감독으로 위촉했다.

  주재근 기획·운영 감독은 한양대학교 음악 인류학 박사 학위를 취득, 국립국악원 학예연구관을 역임하고 현재 한양대학교 겸임교수, 재단법인 정효문화재단 대표직을 맡으면서 전통문화를 알리고 발전시킬 수 있는 다양한 문화예술 사업을 추진하고 있다.

  민영치 음악감독은 추계예술대학교 교육대학원 석사 학위를 취득하고 신한악 예술감독, 2008년부터 2015년까지 코리안뮤직페스티벌 예술감독, 2021부터 2022년까지 문화다양성축제(MAMF) 예술감독 등 국내외 다양한 행사 감독을 역임했다.

  김희선 음악감독은 피츠버그대학 음악 인류학 박사 학위를 취득, 국립국악원 국악연구실장을 역임하고 현재 유네스코 국제전통 음악학회 동아시아음악연구회 회장, 전주세계소리축제 집행위원장직을 수행하고 있다. 

  주재근 감독은 “영동세계국악엑스포를 찾아오시는 분들에게 수준 높은 공연을 선사하고 국악의 세계화를 향한 도전 등 새로운 미래상을 보여 주겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다. 

  정영철 공동조직위원장은 “다양한 분야에서 활동하는 전문가들의 경험을 바탕으로 엑스포의 성공 개최에 매진할 것”이라고 말했다. 

  한편, 2025영동세계국악엑스포는 ‘국악의 향기, 세계를 물들이다’라는 주제로 오는 9월 12일부터 10월 11일까지 한 달간 레인보우힐링관광지 및 국악체험촌 일원에서 열리며, 국내외 관람객 100만 명이 엑스포장을 찾을 것으로 기대를 모으고 있다.
