【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 괴산군(군수 송인헌)은 지난 24일 오후 농업기술센터 3층 회의실에서 외국인 계절근로자 입국 환영식을 열고 캄보디아 국적의 근로자 58명을 맞이했다.

이날 행사에는 송인헌 괴산군수, 관내 농가주 등이 참석해 입국 근로자에게 환영의 뜻을 전했다.

양일간 입국한 근로자들은 준수사항 및 안전 교육을 받은 뒤, 관내 25개 농가에 배치돼 담배, 인삼, 고추, 옥수수 등 주요 작물의 파종 및 수확 작업에 투입된다.

군은 올해 충북 도내에서 가장 많은 외국인 계절근로자 684명을 배정받았으며, 24일 입국한 1차 인원에 이어 25일에는 86명이 추가로 입국하고 49개 농가에 배치된다. 나머지 인원은 4월 중 순차적으로 도착할 계획이다.

군은 이번 인력 유입을 통해 2025년 기0준 약 58억 원의 인건비 절감 효과를 기대하고 있다.

입국 현장에서는 반가운 재회 장면도 연출됐다.

이러한 체계적 운영 덕분에 최근 3년간 외국인 근로자의 이탈률을 평균 5% 미만으로 유지해 왔고, 제도의 실효성과 안정성을 인정받아 2025년도에는 법무부로부터 '우수 운영 지자체'로 선정되기도 했다.​
