【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도 충주의료원(원장 윤창규)은 25일 의료원 대회의실에서 김수민 충북도 정무부지사, 조길형 충주시장, 김낙우 충주시의장, 이상식 충북도의원 등 센터 건립을 위해 다방면으로 지원을 아끼지 않은 각계 인사와 임직원들이 참석한 가운데 ‘심·뇌혈관 및 재활치료센터’ 개소식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

 먼저 심·뇌혈관센터 신설 이유는 중증·응급도가 높은 심뇌혈관 질환에 대해 골든타임 내에 치료가 가능하도록 하여 생존율을 높이는데 기여하기 위함이며, 재활치료센터는 재활 수요 증가에 맞춰 전문 재활서비스 제공을 통한 사회복귀 조기 지원 체계를 마련하기 위한 것이다.

 충주의료원 ‘심뇌혈관 및 재활치료센터 증축사업’은 총 89억 4천만 원의 국·도비를 확보하여, 2021년 5월 시작해 2024년 12월 준공했다.

 3월부터 본격 운영을 시작한 심뇌혈관센터는 다각적이고 통합적인 접근을 통한 적합한 치료 방법을 결정하고 협진 진료 체계 구축을 위해 신경과, 신경외과, 심장내과, 재활의학과로 구성했다.

 뇌파검사실, 뇌혈류검사실, 근전도검사실, 신경심리검사실, 심장검사실, 심장초음파실 등 각종 검사실을 한곳에 모아, 이용 편의 증대를 위한 최적의 동선을 갖췄다.

 재활치료센터는 크게 운동·작업치료실과 통증치료실 2가지 실로 구분하였으며, 운동·작업치료실에서는 충주 시내의 전경이 한눈에 보이는 넓고 쾌적한 환경에서 재활 프로그램을 받을 수 있도록 구성했다.
