【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북도의회(의장 이양섭)는 31일 제주특별자치도의회(이하 제주도의회) 의원회관 대회의실에서 제주도의회와 양 지역의 상생 발전과 상호협력을 위한 협약을 체결했다.

이날 협약식에는 이양섭 충북도의회 의장과 이상봉 제주도의회 의장을 비롯해 이용선 농협중앙회 충북지역본부장, 고우일 농협중앙회 제주본부장, 차태환 청주상공회의소 회장, 양문석 제주상공회의소 회장, 김홍숙 충북화장품산업협회장 등이 참석했다.

이번 협약을 통해 충북도의회와 제주도의회는 △협력 활성화를 위한 정기적 교류 △지역 간 농산물 판매 활성화 △중소기업 진흥 및 판매 교류 활성화 △재난‧재해 발생 시 지원 활동 등 다양한 분야에서 협력하기로 했으며, 별도의 퍼포먼스를 진행하고 양 지역 간 고향사랑 기부제에도 적극 동참하기로 했다.

이양섭 의장은 “4면이 육지인 충북과 4면이 바다인 제주는 서로 다른 지역적 특성을 갖고 있어 협력 가능한 분야가 무궁무진하다”며 “이번 협약이 양 지역 간 상생 발전과 상호협력을 위한 초석이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

충북도의회는 이번 협약을 토대로 제주도 및 유관기관과의 협력을 지속적으로 추진해 지역 농산물과 중소기업 제품의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 방안을 마련할 계획이다.
