교육위원회는 추석 전까지 공사 대금이 제때 지급되어 중소기업, 소상공인, 근로자들이 경제적 어려움을 겪지 않도록 해달라고 주문했다. 이는 명절을 앞두고 지역 내 자금 유동성을 높여 경기를 회복시키기 위한 취지다.

충북교육청은 이에 따라 공사업체들이 조기에 대금을 청구하도록 적극적으로 독려하고, 검사 기간을 단축해 신속한 대금 지급이 이루어지도록 하겠다고 밝혔다.

현재 충북교육청이 발주한 공사는 9월 기준 총 766건이며, 금액은 3,732억 8,647만 6,000원에 달한다.
