【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=국립한국교통대학교는 11월 6일, 충주시노인복지관과 ‘노년층 과학교육복지 증진 및 지역상생을 위한 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이날 협약식에는 국립한국교통대학교 과학문화진흥센터장(과 충주시노인복지관장을 비롯한 양 기관 관계자들이 참석해 협력 방안에 대해 논의했다.

이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 ▲과학문화 활성화를 위한 지역사회 공헌 프로그램 운영 ▲노년층 대상 과학 교육 프로그램 공동 개발 ▲지역 상생 프로그램 운영 및 협력 ▲지역 과학문화 네트워크 강화 등 다양한 공동사업을 추진하기로 협의하였으며, 이를 통해 지역 내 과학문화 기반을 확대하고, 지역사회 발전에 기여하는 협력관계를 구축할 예정이다.

과학문화진흥센터 손태진 센터장은 “이번 협약을 통해 지역 어르신들에게 다양한 교육 서비스를 제공할 수 있게 되어 기쁘다”라며 “앞으로도 노인 과학교육복지 분야에서 질 높은 프로그램을 개발하고, 쌍방향 협력을 통해 지역사회와 상생 발전하는 데 기여하겠다”라고 밝혔다.

한편, 국립한국교통대학교 과학문화진흥센터는 지역사회의 다양한 기관 및 자원과의 연계 협력을 통해 지역 과학교육 네트워크의 협력 영역을 지속적으로 확대해 나가고 있으며, 과학문화의 저변 확대와 포용적 교육복지 실현을 위해 힘쓰고 있다.

Korea National University of Transportation and Chungju City Senior Welfare Center Sign MOU to Provide Educational Services for the Elderly

Korea National University of Transportation announced on November 6th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Chungju City Senior Welfare Center to "Promote Science Education and Welfare for the Elderly and Strengthen Regional Cooperation."
