【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=서원대학교는 13일 행정관 대회의실에서 오송첨단의료산업진흥재단과 바이오헬스 분야 지역 인재 양성 및 공동 연구 협력을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.

  이번 협약은 양 기관이 보유한 인적·물적 자원을 연계해 교육, 연구, 기술개발, 산학협력 등에서 실질적인 협력체계를 구축하고자 마련됐다.

  협약식에는 서원대학교 손석민 총장과 오송첨단의료산업진흥재단 이명수 이사장을 비롯한 양 기관 관계자가 참석했다.

  양 기관은 협약을 통해 ▲교육·연구·산학협력 활성화를 위한 공동 프로그램 개발 ▲바이오·첨단산업 분야 공동연구 및 기술개발 ▲인턴십·현장실습·취업 연계 등 인재양성 프로그램 운영 등에 협력하기로 했다.

  손석민 총장은 “바이오헬스는 지역의 핵심 성장동력이자 국가 미래 산업의 중심 분야”라며 “이번 협약을 시작으로 양 기관이 교육과 연구, 산학협력 전반에서 실질적 성과를 만들어가겠다”라고 말했다.

  서원대는 이번 협약을 통해 재단의 실험·연구 인프라를 활용한 실습 환경을 확보해 학생들의 현장 이해도와 실무 경험을 높일 수 있게 됐다. 현장실습과 취업연계 프로그램 운영 범위도 넓어지면서 지역 기업과의 연계가 한층 활발해질 것으로 보인다. 아울러 RISE사업단을 중심으로 바이오헬스 분야의 산학 R&D 기반을 확장하고 화장품·뷰티 원스톱 시스템과의 협업을 강화해 지역 특화 산업과 연계한 인재 양성 체계를 더욱 견고히 해나갈 계획이다.

Seowon University Signs MOU with Osong Medical Innovation Foundation to Cultivate Biohealth Talent

On the 13th, Seowon University signed a business agreement with the Osong Medical Innovation Foundation in the administrative building conference room to foster local talent and collaborate on joint research in the biohealth field.

This agreement aims to establish a practical cooperative system in education, research, technology development, and industry-academia cooperation by leveraging the human and material resources of both institutions.

The signing ceremony was attended by Seowon University President Sohn Seok-min, Osong Medical Innovation Foundation Chairman Lee Myeong-su, and officials from both institutions.

Through this agreement, Seowon University will leverage the foundation's experimental and research infrastructure to secure a practical training environment, enhancing students' understanding of the field and practical experience. The expanded scope of field training and employment-linked programs is expected to further enhance collaboration with local businesses. Furthermore, Seowon University plans to expand its industry-academia R&D foundation in the biohealth sector, centered around the RISE Project Group, and strengthen collaboration with the cosmetics and beauty one-stop system to further solidify its talent development system aligned with specialized regional industries.
