【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 12일(금)부터 14일(일)까지, 한국교원대학교 종합교육연수원에서 중‧고등학교 국어, 수학, 영어, 사회(역사, 도덕), 과학 교사 101명을 대상으로 서논술형 평가 문항 전문가 양성 직무연수를 운영한다.

연수는 한국교원대학교와 협력해 서논술형 평가 등 전국단위 출제‧집필‧강의 경험이 있는 교수 및 교원을 중심으로 강사진을 구성하였다.

▲성취 평가제 및 서논술형 평가의 이해 ▲대표 문항 사례 분석 ▲과목별 문항 개발 및 채점 기준표 작성 등 맞춤형 실습 과정으로 구성하여 현장 적용 역량을 기를 수 있도록 하였다.

참여한 교원들은 연수 과정을 통해 길러진 서‧논술형 평가 전문성을 바탕으로 향후 평가 지원단 참여, 평가 연수 강사 및 컨설턴트 활동, 서‧논술형 평가 문항 개발 등 충북의 서‧논술형 평가 체계화와 확산을 선도하는 핵심적인 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. 

특히, 충북교육청은 올해 하반기부터 서울, 인천 등 7개 시도교육청과 함께 서논술형 평가 선도교육청으로 지정되어, ▲서논술형 평가 역량강화 연수 ▲단위학교 서논술형 평가 컨설팅 ▲서논술형 평가 문항 자료집 개발 등의 사업을 내년까지 이어갈 계획이다.

이미숙 중등교육과장은 “이번 연수를 통해 교원의 평가 전문성을 키우고 서논술형 평가의 공정성과 신뢰성을 높이는 데 기여하고자 하며, 연수생을 중심으로 전문가 네트워크를 형성해 향후 충북 지역의 서논술형 평가 활성화를 지원할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

Chungbuk Office of Education to Operate 2025 Essay-Based Assessment Item Training Program

From Friday, the 12th to Sunday, the 14th, the Chungbuk Provincial Office of Education will host a training program for 101 middle and high school Korean, math, English, social studies (history, ethics), and science teachers. This training program will be held at the Korea National University of Education's Comprehensive Education Training Institute. The program will focus on developing essay-based assessment items for 101 teachers.

In collaboration with Korea National University of Education, the training program will feature a team of instructors comprised of professors and teachers with experience in developing, writing, and lecturing on essay-based assessments at a national level.

The program will focus on: ▲Understanding the Achievement Assessment System and Essay-Based Assessments; ▲Analyzing Case Studies of Representative Questions; ▲Developing Subject-Specific Items and Creating Scoring Criteria; and ▲Developing Subject-Specific Items and Scoring Criteria. This customized training program will foster practical application skills. The participating teachers are expected to play a key role in leading the systematization and expansion of essay-based assessments in North Chungcheong Province, leveraging their expertise in essay-based assessments developed through the training program. They will participate in assessment support groups, serve as instructors and consultants for assessment training, and develop essay-based assessment items.

Notably, the North Chungcheong Office of Education, along with seven other metropolitan and provincial offices of education, including Seoul and Incheon, has been designated as a leading office of education in essay-based assessments starting in the second half of this year. This program will continue through next year, with projects including: capacity building training for essay-based assessments, individual school essay-based assessment consulting, and the development of essay-based assessment item collections.

Lee Mi-sook, Director of the Secondary Education Division, stated, "Through this training, we aim to enhance teachers' assessment expertise and enhance the fairness and reliability of essay-based assessments. We also plan to form a network of experts, centered around the trainees, to support the future vitalization of essay-based assessments in North Chungcheong Province."
