【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=국립한국교통대학교가 대학 내 응급상황 발생 시 학생들의 초기 대응 역량을 강화하기 위해 실전 안전 교육에 나섰다.

한국교통대는 지난 5월 6일 충주소방서 응급구조 교육 강사를 초청해 충주생활관 학생 자치위원회 30여 명을 대상으로 ‘심폐소생술(CPR) 교육’을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 1,200여 명의 학생이 거주하는 충주생활관 내에서 발생할 수 있는 심정지 등 응급상황에 대비하기 위해 마련됐다. 특히 이론에 그치지 않고 학생들이 직접 몸으로 익히는 실습 중심으로 진행되어 실제 상황에서의 대응력을 높이는 데 중점을 두었다.

주요 교육 내용은 ▲심폐소생술 기본 이론 ▲자동심장충격기(AED) 사용법 ▲응급상황 발생 시 신고 및 초기 조치 요령 등이다. 교육에 참여한 학생들은 전문가의 지도 아래 마네킹을 활용한 가슴 압박 실습을 진행하며 숙련도를 높였다.
