【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=단양군 단양읍지역사회보장협의체가 지역 소상공인들과 뜻을 모아 취약계층을 위한 정기적 나눔 활동 및 복지 안전망 구축에 적극적으로 나서고 있다.

단양군 단양읍지역사회보장협의체는 지난 20일 지역 내 나눔 문화 확산과 복지 사각지대 해소를 위해 '품안愛나눔' 신규 협약처를 발굴하고 해당 업체들을 방문해 현판 전달식을 진행했다고 밝혔다. 이번에 새롭게 이웃사랑 실천에 동참한 곳은 호야반점과 뚜레쥬르 단양점 두 곳이다.

이번 협약에 따라 호야반점은 식사 해결에 어려움을 겪는 관내 저소득 가구를 대상으로 매주 1회 영양가 높은 밑반찬을 지속적으로 지원하기로 했다. 이와 함께 뚜레쥬르 단양점은 매월 1회 저소득 가정의 아동들에게 정성 어린 간식을 전달하며 이웃사랑을 적극적으로 이어갈 계획이다.

지역 소상공인들의 자발적인 동참에 힘입어 '품안愛나눔' 사업을 통해 밑반찬과 간식 등을 정기적으로 후원하는 지역 협약처는 총 42개소로 대폭 늘어나게 됐다. 협의체는 이번 협약을 계기로 지역 내 다양한 사업장 및 기관을 대상으로 후원처를 꾸준히 발굴해 나눔 참여 기반을 확대하는 한편, 도움이 절실한 이웃들을 적기에 발굴해 실질적인 후원이 연계될 수 있도록 만전을 기할 예정이다.

이날 현장에서 장경인 민간위원장은 어려운 이웃을 외면하지 않고 따뜻한 손길을 내밀어 준 후원업체에 깊은 감사를 표하며, 작은 나눔이 모여 지역사회를 더욱 든든하게 받치는 원동력이 되는 만큼 앞으로도 더 많은 기관과 사업장이 나눔에 동참할 수 있도록 나눔 문화를 적극 확산시키겠다고 밝혔다. 아울러 복지 사각지대에 놓인 이웃들에게 실제 도움이 되는 맞춤형 지원을 아끼지 않겠다고 덧붙였다.

한편 단양군 단양읍지역사회보장협의체는 민·관이 협력하는 민간 자원 연계 사업을 한층 고도화하여 이웃이 이웃을 돌보는 빈틈없는 지역 복지 생태계를 지속 확장해 나갈 방침이다.
