【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시가 오는 9월 4일부터 6일까지 사흘간 충주 관아공원 일원에서 밤의 운치와 역사가 어우러지는 ‘2026 충주 국가유산 야행’을 개최한다.

‘달빛 흐르는 역사의 길을 따라서’라는 부제로 펼쳐지는 이번 행사는 충주시가 주최하고 충주문화관광재단이 주관하는 국가유산청 공모사업이다. 지난 2021년 첫 선을 보인 이후 올해로 5회째를 맞이했으며, 지역 국가유산의 고유한 역사와 가치를 널리 알리고 주민과 방문객에게 새로운 야간 문화 경험을 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.

행사 기간 관아공원 일대에서는 청녕헌과 제금당, 관아골 아트뱅크, 택견 등 충주를 대표하는 국가유산을 활용한 전시, 공연, 체험이 다양하게 펼쳐진다. 현장 곳곳에는 스탬프 투어와 포토존이 마련되고 과거 이동 수단이었던 인력거 체험도 운용된다.

가족 단위 방문객을 위해 문화유산 등불 만들기를 비롯해 충북도 지정 무형유산인 야장·사기장 체험, 택견 체험, 친환경 놀이터 등이 준비된다. 관아공원 메인 무대에서는 옛 택견판 재현과 남사당놀이 공연이 이어지며, 지역 설화를 각색한 마당극 ‘짜짜 짜린고비’와 관아골 동화관의 어린이 인형극도 관객을 만난다. 여기에 유명 역사 스토리텔러 썬킴의 충주 역사 특강과 플리마켓, 지역 먹거리 장터까지 어우러져 구도심 상권에 활력을 더할 예정이다.
