이번에 마련된 증평군 공업지역 기본계획(안)은 증천리와 초중리 일원 약 15만 1천㎡ 규모의 공업지역을 대상으로 수립됐다. 산업 및 공간적 특성, 주변 여건을 종합 분석하여 효율적인 관리와 활성화의 체계적인 청사진을 제시하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
