특히 이번 협력은 지자체 간 경계를 허물고 타 지역의 우수한 의료 인프라를 연계한 '초광역 협력 모델'이라는 점에서 큰 기대를 모으고 있다. 도내 응급의료 현장의 인력·시설 한계를 원활하게 보완하고 주민들에게 실질적인 응급의료 안전망을 제공하는 계기가 될 것으로 전망된다.
