【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북도의회가 지역문화협력위원회를 비상설기구로 전환하고 문화지구 내 권장시설에 대한 조세 감면 근거를 마련하는 내용의 조례 개정에 나섰다.

충북도의회는 김성우(사진) 의원 대표 발의한 충청북도 지역문화진흥 조례 일부개정조례안을 입법 예고했다고 밝혔다. 이번 개정안은 지원책이 미흡했던 문화지구를 더욱 활성화하는 동시에, 자주 열리지 않던 위원회를 비상설화해 행정 운영의 효율을 극대화하기 위해 추진됐다.

개정안에는 문화지구 권장시설에 대한 조세 감면 근거 신설을 비롯해 지역문화협력위원회의 구성 정비, 위원회 비상설화에 따른 위원 임기 조정, 회의 소집 및 통보 절차의 명확화 등 행정 체계를 합리화하는 내용들이 다수 수록됐다.

충북도의회 관계자는 현행 조례가 문화지구 지원을 위한 실질적 수단이 부족하고 위원회 운영의 실효성도 다소 낮았던 측면이 있었다며, 이번 개정을 통해 문화지구 내 사업자에 대한 행정·재정적 지원 기반을 튼튼히 하고 위원회 운영의 효율성도 함께 끌어올릴 수 있을 것으로 본다고 밝혔다.

한편 이번 조례안은 예고 기간을 거친 뒤 오는 8일 개회하는 충북도의회 제437회 정례회에서 심의 및 의결 과정을 거칠 예정이다.
