농업정책위원회 위원들은 먼저 친환경 유용미생물실을 찾아 주요 생산 시설과 공급 과정을 점검했다. 해당 시설은 고초균, 유산균, 효모균, 광합성균, 클로렐라 등 5종의 미생물을 연간 800톤 규모로 생산해 지역 농가에 무상으로 지원하고 있으며, 올해 8월 말 기준 8,030여 농가에 총 477.3톤을 공급한 것으로 확인됐다. 위원들은 북부권 농업인들의 이용 접근성을 높이기 위해 추진 중인 북부권 유용미생물 공급센터 구축 사업에 대해서도 상세한 설명을 청취했다.
