-im changyong reporter

Four people who had been working as village education activists using the confectionery and baking skills they learned through the women’s college course run in Jeungpyeong-gun, gathered together and started a confectionery and bakery business when the demand for the program they had worked for due to Corona 19 disappeared. are dragging

These four female college students were career-interrupted women who had a lot of interest in confectionery, baking and making rice cakes, and they became friends while participating in the women's college program.

While encouraging each other, they also acquired certifications such as confectionery, bakery, and rice cake making skills, and it is known that they have been working together while volunteering using the skills they learned at women's colleges.

However, due to COVID-19, the confectionery and baking program operated for local students and residents faced a crisis, and those who wanted to work together took the crisis as an opportunity to start a business.

The process of starting a business was not an easy one. For those who had quit their social life due to marriage and child-rearing, each start-up process was unfamiliar and difficult. There was a lot of negative advice, ranging from concerns about '(due to Corona 19) the store you used to be in ruins, can you do it?' to 'It is not easy to start and run a business with four people, and the results will not be good'. did.

However, they pushed on to start their own business, thinking that even if there is no profit, there is nothing to lose just by having a space where they can work together, and as a result, they are now earning a little profit excluding rent and utility bills, although not much. .

They said that although the profits are small, the satisfaction they feel working together is considerable. In addition, we plan to prepare other certifications or higher-level certifications other than the ones we currently have, and actively explore ways to grow into women's businesses or social enterprises.

The four female college students said, “Not only did we prepare a space where we could work together as we originally intended, but also our self-esteem has increased because we can meet ourselves who are moving forward little by little. I will make it.”
